So we looked up the girl with the Fallen tattoo on myspace... and of course just like the rest of the world she had one. The real great thing was I looked at her blogs and this is what she wrote:

Ok...i'm sitting here thinking about getting a new tattoo..I have one Fallen tattoo and one Hurley tattoo...I'm getting some free gear from Fallen Shortly, and I had emailed them telling them I was going to get another Fallen tattoo..I'm going to get one, but where and what should it look like?? I found this awesome picture of Jamie Thomas on the fallen website..and it was showing one of his fallen tats..I was thinking of getting "FALLEN" tattooed on my ribcage..like my side going downwards..What do ya'll think? It would only be an outline..not coloured in though......

A while ago I emailed 88 footwear to try to get a Neil Blender interview (he is one of my favorites). It obviously would never happen as Neil is a pretty elusive guy, but Lance Conklin said he could maybe get me a quote. Today, (two months later) I recieved this email;

"Rock N Roll!
Nb swift, mountain"

Kind of cryptic. Not sure what to make of it. Either way Neil rips. Go buy his new board on Red Kross and hang it in your house forever.

Josh Bellew sent me this link to some little kids sponsor me video. If they sponsor kids solely based on pyramid skating, this kid may just stand a chance. Too many amazing kids coming out of the clone factory. I weep for the future.

I got a phone call from Gareth Stehr this morning at 5am. He called to tell me Happy Love day and them mumbled a bunch of shit about Scandonavia and Sleepy Hollow. I have no idea. He hung up before I could figure out what was going on. I assume he was super drunk. Probably the best Happy Valentines day call I ever got.

Hellrose had a party this weekend. I will post some photos my friend Jeff took tommarow until then go look at Heath Kirchart getting ready to murder someone at shadlambert.com

So, I know a lot of people with tattoos. I know a lot of people with stupid tattoos. I know a lot of poeple with skateboard tattoos. I think it is cool to get something that means a lot to you. And we all know that some skateboard graphics are amazing. Hell, my best friend has a pushead graphic on her back. Or some diehard fans supporting brands they have been skating or magazines they have been reading forever. But, I think this girl might have taken it a bit to the extreme. But that is cool now-a-days right?


Since I work at Black Box I answer all the emails from the websites. This girl sent me an email today saying:

You guys/gals may think i'm crazy for this..but I think Fallen is such a kick ass skate company! I did this last feb to show my love for it:

Now I would like to reference that before last Febuary, Fallen had been around for only 6 months....


That's not even a thing like "man I like this slogan, or I like this graphic" This is like "Man I love this T-Shirt... Can I have this tattooed on my back!"

I came across a site yesterday where you can see clips of the kids from the FA skateshop. It was mostly the typical boring, dramatic, tight pants rail skidders and gap hoppers. However, there was one kid that really got me hyped. Matt Galizia. This kid obviously doesn't give a crap what size jeans you have on or how many stairs you ollied yesterday. He skates in his garage and driveway and does some insanely hard tricks on his freestyle board. It really makes me happy to see some kid trying to learn some random stuff instead of taking the easy way out and finding a rail to smith grind.
Kudos to you, Matt.

For all you kids stuck in Tum Yeto mode, I have some ideas that might help you break the chains of the 28 waist, slim fit opression.
Perhaps you could try out this new fashion coming not so straight from the streets of S.F.



It doesn't look quite as gay as the stuff you're wearing now, and you might just set a new trend.

Otherwise, if trends continue, this may be what you will be putting on in the morning.



Looks like business at Hot Topic will be booming.

if you came up skating in the late 80's or early 90's, this brings back some fond memories and goodtimes, when pro skaters were at the oldest, 16, the choice of car was a stock honda civic hatchback, and ads and skateboarding were completely silly. see this http://www.thenews.com.au/ archive for examples.

Went to the opening of the beautiful losers art show up in Orange County this weekend. Here are some pictures for you. My camera decided it's a battery eater so halfway through the show it didn't have enough batteries to flash.. But pictures none the less..
