He told me that Element gave the dishonorable discharge to a couple of heavy hitters that go by the name of Kenny Hughes and Jeremy Wray. Darkstar also gave Madison’s own Aaron Snyder his walking papers. Mikey Taylor told ES he didn’t want to wear those damn accels anymore and slipped in to some DVS’s.

And in other news, it seems Milwaukee’s lord of the sith, Barth Wader, lost his masturbatory virginity to the classic film “The Beastmaster”. But the question on everyone’s lips is, did he actually put Chewbacca up his ass? Only Barth, Chewy, and God know.

First off, check the brand new SkateNorthWest site. Shawn is coming correct in that new video clip they have up. But everyone has to download the 32 meg version and kill his bandwidth. He’ll be stoked.

Also, I got a dog yesterday. I’m hyped, she’s so rad. Basically, she was about to be killed, and the princess totally wasn’t in another castle this time. aka, my girlfriend works at a vet clinic, and she called me crying because the dog was so nice, and I totally got tricked. But it’s alright, she’s an amazing pup.

The dude who does the updates on the Slap site linked to the Hurry Up and Die trailer today too. That thing has been downloaded like 2,000 times already. Not much in ‘internet’ terms, but I’m still really happy about it.

SO….word on the street places Reese Forbes on the new deluxe project and off Element. In terms of integrity for the cause, that may be a good idea although his paycheck may be significantly smaller on “Rasa Libre”. Good for Reese though, Element is complete garbage and anyone who thinks differently is wrong. Oh yeah, and the fiberlight boards are actually a few grams heavier than the featherlight when it comes down to actual weight. So next time you pick up a fiberlight and say, “oh mom, it’s so light” check yourself.

In a bit of news that is sure to raise an eyebrow or two, Jordan Richter (sp.?) is skating for Aesthetics. Somehow I can’t picture a bearded follower of Allah on tour with Clyde but….who knows these days. On a somewhat related note, was it just me or did Richter’s beard look really shiny in the new On video?

In a final bit of news of the “Who cares?” variety, one of the worst companies in skateboarding, Bootleg, should have their video in stores soon. Some members of the actual team are quite amazing on the skateboards but the graphics, ads, whole idea of the company etc. is one of the biggest piles of horseshit ever. The video will be called “Bootleg 3000” for the total amount of money the company will have made when it goes under. There might even be a handrail or two in the video! Seriously though, get your rich friend who always buys videos to pick it up and check out Pete Eldridge because he can really ride it well.

This Saturday there’s a block party on North Ave. There will be a skate jam, and a high ollie contest. It’s basically on North and Farwell, and the skate festivities will began at 11am and go on as long as you bring the thrash. Give your thanks to Sky High for this one.

Number 22 and 23 were filmed like two years ago in Nashville. They feature Ben Vance, and Greg Lutzka, respectively. Number 24 is from the skatepark here in Milwaukee, and is pretty old too. Finally, 25 is from a few months ago. It’s from the 4 seasons on Madison, and I think all those guys were on the Lucky Charms or something.
