Being the good friends and people that they are, Lord Cru and Josh chipped in and got me Sean Cliver’s book; “Disposable” for Christmas. The book rules. It’s like looking at a Sears Christmas catalog and picking out all the stuff you want Santa to bring you (except there is no way in hell you will ever get a Jason Lee Cat in the Hat deck). The book sums up the past 25 or 26 years of board graphics and highlights the most influencial and controversial art to grace the bottom of a board. I was pretty disapointed not to see Don Pendleton in there though. Same with Jeremy Fish. But it was cool that Minnesota native Todd Bratrud got his props, because his stuff is rad (actually, it’s my favorite part in the book).
Thanks again guys, this is the best (and only) present I got this year.
While you are reading this, I may or may not be working on additions to the message board that might make a comeback sooner than you think. Josh and I have been spending tireless hours trying to make things different and interesting enough to make it worthwhile to have the damn thing. Hopefully, if it does come back, you turds wont take it for granted and keep the pointless arguing and name calling to a minimum.
Hey, I think Sam over at Dudes is missing in action as the site hasn’t been updated in quite some time. Come on Sam, the triumvirate only works if all 3 points are representing!
Oh, and I think Amanda’s site is finally working again, so go check it out.
