Estabrook DIY – Expanded For Your Pleasure!
Last weekend some new obstacles were built at the Estabrook park DIY project in Shorewood Wisconsin. This project is funded by donations and built by skateboarders in their free time. If you’re interested in donating please visit Sky High Skateshop and drop some dollars into the jug, or press the donation button below and drop in whatever you’d like. The more dollars, the more things can be built. Currently, after this big build, all of the funds are dry.
Video Above – Skating by: Max Murphy, Pat Murphy, Bradford Bishop, Gabe Chan, and Nick Mistele.
In one day two brand new obstacles were built, and the China Bank wall was also expanded on both sides. The largest thing created was “The Worm”. “The Spice Must Flow”.

The second brand new obstacle was a manual pad/ledge/quarter pipe combo.
Finally, here’s some photos of the expanded China Bank.
Of course without these people none of this could have happened. I didn’t catch a photo of everyone, but needless to say, everyone was killing it!
As mentioned above, thanks to all, and if you’d like to see more things added to this project please consider donating some dollars.

Rob Owens. The name and the man are infamous and legendary in skateboarding and in general. Just say his name around somebody and they will have a story to tell you about Rob. Rob will be the first to admit that he has had his ups and downs and his own obstacles to overcome. All of this kinda adds to the legend of Rob Owens and who people think he is and who he actually is. But what is important is that at 38 years old Rob is still passionate if not more passionate about skateboarding and getting out and doing what he loves. His passion for skating is very motivating and makes me want to get out and ride my board.Talking with Rob he seems to be at a very positive point in his life in which he is getting back and focussing on what he loves to do. He also has been putting in work at re establishing his company Grime Official. I was looking forward to doing this interview because I never really got a chance to talk to him for a long duration and get to know who he is. So here it is the Rob Owens Podcast.

Drew Rickaby is a good skater when he’s skating like a good skater. This is Rickaby being a good skater and doing a Fs Crook, a nosebonk and a kick flip over to bs tail. Play on plar.
Nick “The Nightstick” Mistele navigates his naval fleet over narrow no-nonsensical seas with this Fs crook.
Patrick “Pizzy” Forster poops on his predecessors while performing a prestinley perfect fakiie crooks. Post trick, Pizzy pulled out his purple python and passionatley pounded his prized possession into a petite puddle of pudding.
Nick Panza could have Bs Overcrooked the roof of this house but decided to settle for the top stair. Pimp Shit.

A few of us decided to leave Milwaukee for the weekend and skate with our brothers from the Steel City. Hell of a good time had by all. Such a fun city and the crew out there is beyond rad. Below are a couple photos from the trip.
Justin Funk, with a text book wallie and wall ride 5-0. I’ve known this guy since when I moved to PGH in 2009. One of the nicest dudes out, hell, he let 7 smelly trolls from MKE crash on his floor without needing any convincing.
Nick Mistele, Fs Bluntslide to Fakie Nosegrind. I can honestly say I think this weekend was the first time in the history of knowing Mistele that I did not see him pass out on a couch. Proud of you bud!
This is Dan Sotak. This is Dan doing a Bs Tailslide going Mach 10. Dan is a ginger, but he reminded everyone multiple times on this day that he does have a soul.
This is Chase Hopper with a dog. They are now friends.
Brain boy Brickner breaking boundaries and boosting a big bad backside flip over a busted ass barrier.
Vince Stranc did this wallie into the bank at MLK. Honestly this photo doesn’t really do this trick justice. Either way, here it is. Good job Vince, I hope one day you’ll find a dog that will allow you to spray paint him blue.
Last but not least here’s Drew Rickaby doing a Bs Smith grind. I’ll write more about Rickaby in Part 2 and 3. For now just enjoy this perfetcly executed Skateboard Maneuver.
My Brain is fried. Part 2 coming sooner then later.
