Kitty Litter on the Luggage Rack

I should really start taking more photos.
Pizz was “doing work”. As they say. He got his move after some spills.
After a few scary switch nosegrind tries, Tj kickflip boardslid the stress away.
Group photos and midnight cookouts. Summer’s almost here. Or trying to be, at least.

Where has the time gone? I’m not quite sure, but I did just acquire two old D&D monster manuals and reading about the lifestyles of Displacer Beasts and the various types of Beholders is quite time consuming. Did you know most Beholders have eleven eyes and each eye has a different magical power? Now you do. I did also just recently strap a burrito to the luggage rack of a moped with bungee cords, but that didn’t take that much time. I also learned carb cleaner will dissolve the frost liner inside a can of CL. That concludes what I have been up to.
What I haven’t been up to is taking photos. These following are from not last weekend, but the one before. We’ve been out skating a lot, but mostly concentrating on filming, I suppose. Sometimes it’s a pain to try to do both. Or I’m just lazy.
Max Murphy – Nosegrind 180
Tj Bohach – Frontside Bluntslide
Max Murphy – Lipslide a Log
Beautiful love.

A second edition of half frame photographs from last summer. I hope to train Gary to scan the rest of rolls of film I have for me.
Too Thick to Suck

Some from last weekend.
Tj Bohach – Crooked Grind. This ‘lil guy has no run up at all. You’ve gotta ride straight at it and then curve at the last second to hit it.
Max Murphy – Feeble.
Max with a dangerous smith grind.
Tall and mellow is scary for the genitals. Tj with a boardslide.
New old spots are good. Neal with a Canadian style melon.
Tj – noseblunt slide.
Tim with a sweeper variation. I forgot the old man name for it.

We went to Minneapolis for Top Shop.
I rode in this dude’s car.
With these guys in the back.
We stopped at the Lake Delton park on the way there and Kyle fell on his head.
Matt Nordness – Bs Disaster. This thing is steep as ballz.
Then it was back on the road for a minute and another visit to tick mountain. It’s a fun, sandy climb. It was theorized that Matt’s gas station Daniel Boone cap was the source of the ticks that were appearing in Bill’s car. Alas, Bill did not nearly have a sack hanger on this year as he did last.
We arrived, some dudes skated in the contest, and we went street skating for a bit.
Tj Bohach – Backside 50-50. The people at the dog park nearby liked it.
Tj Bohach – Bluntslide the peak of the rainbow, bs 180 in.
That was the night of the party at the park. Some brews were had.
Obviously.
Then we drove home.

Tickle My Slow Loris

It rained most of last weekend, but we did get some quality shred time Saturday before the skies were naughty.
The world’s heaviest duty flatbar available. Requires at least six people to move. Max Murphy – Backside 5-0. Actually, it was already raining when we were skating this, probably made the grindings very scary.
One of my flashes didn’t go off on this one and naughty shadows invaded Tj’s face. My own fault, I forgot to buy new batteries for the dumb things. The only reason I got any flash action at all is because Risser had some batteries I borrowed which revitalized the one that was lively in this photo. Blowing it. Tj Bohach – Backside nosegrind.
Self explanatory.
The bottom 1/3 of the set of stairs were laying off to the side and we broke a few steps off and made a sweet one foot wide, six foot long ride up to this thing. Max actually ollied onto this noseslide. Everyone was all “what are you going to do when you get to the end?” “I don’t know, I’m just going to try it”. He slid about 1/3 of the way down down the rail, rode down some stairs, laughed. Good enough?

I am here with another barrage of photo content.
Matt Nordness 50-50 on the wall vs. brutalist architecture.
Matt Nordness – Frontside Bluntslide.
I still think this looks like a backside 5-0, but really it’s a gap to frontside 5-0.
A gap-to again. T.J. Bohach – Gap to Backside Noselide.
LEFT: Pizzy’s facebook. RIGHT: TJ SS BS TS.
Another perfectly angular backside smith marred by unfortunate light leaks.
Matt Nordness goes over a makeshift wallie.
Certified purveyor of the gorf life.
T.J. – Switch Frontside Boardslide.
After I developed this roll of film I remember trying to explain to T.J. in detail how absolutely delighted he looks in this photo and he remarked “I was actually probably very depressed”. I don’t buy it.
LEFT: Sometimes after a day of skating non-sanctioned skatespots you have to rest on your laurels and skate something regulation size. RIGHT: Dudes helping dudes. Thirty feet later they almost made it to first base.
And one last photo from when I was in California a few months ago. Erik Switzer – Kickflip. Only serious skate photo I took. I was too busy living on the strand. If you haven’t seen them, I made two video clips of this adventure.
